© INRA, BEN HDECH H.

The resources allocated to scientific teams via metaprogrammes are three different types:

  • operating costs and small equipment,
  • doctoral and post-doctoral grants,
  • tenured positions of researchers and engineers.

Distributing these human and financial means can be done:

  • via calls for expression of interest which make it possible to solicit project ideas over all or part of the research themes
  • or via more targeted national or international actions, such as workshops, supporting the development of a network, providing project engineering, or developing a specific database...

A metaprogramme is an internal co-construction process involving the steering committee and the scientific teams in line with the objectives defined. External (European, national) funding is also encouraged to reinforce the allocated means.

Financial means are only attributed to INRA units (including joint research units and contract-based research units). The participation of external teams is nevertheless encouraged provided that they fund their own part.
